How your body process pain signals - understanding your pain to decrease your pain

One of my all-time favorite quotes is from Dr. Gordon Waddell: "The fear of pain is worse than the pain itself." He is absolutely right about this. When we fear pain and lack understanding of how it works in our bodies, it often leads to increased stress, anxiety, and poor decision-making, which can actually worsen the pain experience. The key in decreasing pain is to understand the mechanism on how pain works so you can make purposeful life choices in a systematic way to get the results you desire.

“Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day; teach someone to fish and you feed them for a lifetime”.

Our motto here at PNP is the latter. We teach and educate you on prevention of injury and longevity of health . Today, my goal is to explain how the body processes pain, enabling you to understand what you can do to alleviate pain and break free from fear.
